élysse marcellin (she/they) is a Black, queer, Trinbagonian feminist envisioning decolonial futures rooted in justice and collective healing. Invested in a praxis of curiosity and authenticity, élysse is a lifelong learner who is finding peace at the intersection of empathy and boundaries. With an academic background in psychology and ICT, they are currently exploring how ML/AI implementations can foster cross-sector collaboration and decision-making for collective impact. Over the past decade, élysse has contributed to national and international research, and worked to advance a movement for gender justice having co-organised local interventions, including protest actions. Currently, they serve as Director of intersectional feminist organisation, WOMANTRA, and Synergy Sage at local startup data ecosystem, GrapeVine. As Resources and Reparations Co-Lead at Whose Knowledge?, élysse works to resource epistemic justice. In their downtime, they enjoy life with their adoring partner and mischievous cats, meditation, poetry, and connecting with their inner world.
