Ezrena Marwan (she/her) is the co-lead of Liberatory Archives and Memory at Whose Knowledge?. She has a keen interest in building archives of resistance situated at the intersections of visual culture, history and social justice. Her approach to archiving is shaped by her feminist politics and experience as a graphic and web designer for rights-based organizations and advocacy groups. She also teaches art history and visual culture. She is one of the founding members of Sejarah Wanita, a project to unearth, document and highlight women’s contributions to the history of Malaysia, and the co-founder of Malaysia Design Archive, which documents the country’s history of graphic design and visual culture through critical perspectives.
