Epistemic Justice, Decolonisation, and Solidarity

Our co-founder and co-director, Anasuya Sengupta, participated in the 10th episode of Resist and Reboot, a podcast by Global Data Justice. Anasuya discusses the genesis of Whose Knowledge? as a project and campaign that aims to center knowledges of the world’s minoritized majority, away from conversations currently driven and dominated by Silicon Valley. Through initiatives such as Decolonizing the Internet, resources like Our Stories, Our Knowledges, and the Numun Fund (the first dedicated fund for feminist tech in and for the Global South), Anasuya discusses the importance of acknowledging the power dynamics that underlie the internet, and the need to be able to reimagine and rebuild it as an epistemically just space.
