During the Forum for Internet Freedom in Africa 2022, hosted in Lusaka, Zambia, Whose Knowledge? and FEMNET co-designed a panel titled ‘Resistance & Connection: an African Feminist Perspective for Decolonizing the Internet’ with Carolyne Ekyarisma, founder of Apps and Girls in Tanzania; Sandra Kwikiriza, founder of HER Internet in Uganda, Ann Kazhinga Holland, co-founder of Sistah Sistah Foundation in Zambia and Helen Nyinakiiza from Safe Sisters. Whose Knowledge? co-director Anasuya Sengupta and Kelly Forster helped frame the conversation, along with panel moderator Rosebell Kagumire, editor of African Feminism.
